Took a week or so to learn me, but now I wake up refreshed instead of annoyed and confused. My wife uses it, too. And it can tell the difference between our movements and sleep cycles and does a great job screening out our cat (who comes and goes throughout the night). Pairs very well with our Philips wake up light. Both set to 30 minute blocks of time.
Great alarm app, only one I use now. Still wish I could control how fast the alarm sound fades in. The alarm sound fades in somewhat slowly but it would be preferable be able to fine tune it. One of the greatest features of this is the ability to extend or shorten the wake up period, I can shorten it if Im on a schedule, or make it longer if Im sleeping in.
Great gradual alarm, however I wonder if the data is really legit because sometimes I dont put Jr. Phone on my bed and it is still showing I was moving around
Overall this app is good however sometimes to will randomly switch to playing Warm Breeze from My Music. I paid for the membership and I expect to wake up to My Music, not some random sound. Please fix this.
This app lets me wake up at just the right time so Im not a grouch in the morning.
Ive been struggling with chronic fatigue for years, and I started using this app to identify nights where I wasnt sleeping well to determine if that was a factor. I love being able to see my sleep quality each night to know if thats why Im tired the next day. Its also really helped me wake up for my 5 am work shifts without feeling as groggy!
I have been using and loving this app for a while. It works great. Except, lately, it has been somehow turning off in the middle of the night. Its happened four times now. I cant figure it out except the app is totally closed out and not even on when I wake up. Record shows it always stopping around 2:30am. Must be a bug? Doesnt wake me up in the morning!
It helps me keep track quality of sleep and time!!
Overall this is a great app. Its very sensitive to ambient noise and it calculates your sleep from the time you start it, so the sleep time differs from actual. Also the alarm is tricky. Like me, I wake up on the first alarm at the time is set, I dont snooze, this set up start waking you 10 minutes prior to your actual time, this may work for some but not me. I still use it and will conitue
Every so often the app will shut down at night and the alarm will not go off. My guess is that this is related to iCloud automatically backing up at night and this shuts down the alarm. Otherwise I love the app and use it every night.
Love the app! What a great way to quantify how youre sleeping. Its also a great way to see what things influence your sleep in a positive or negative way, so you can make the necessary adjustments to improve your quality of sleep.
This app is everything and more. I recommend to everyone!!
I think I have found the perfect combination of alarm clocks. I always set Sleep Cycle to be my first alarm, and another app called SpinMe Alarm Clock as my backup. Sleep Cycle usually wakes me up in my optimal wake up time, but sometimes it just isn’t enough for me and I’ll either snooze through it or turn it off and go back to bed. If Sleep Cycle fails to wake me up, my backup alarm SpinMe will start blaring which can only be turned off if I get out of bed and spin around twice before it finally shuts off! Crazy but it works and I haven’t been late to work since I started doing this. And no you cant just spin the phone around in your hand! Sleep Cycle really does help in waking you up during your light sleep. I can feel it working most mornings. And I have studied the science behind sleep so I can attest that the premise of this app isn’t merely a placebo, but something that has actually been proven. However the problem that this alarm clock doesn’t solve is that sometimes (especially on nights where you get very little sleep), it can be really easy to ignore your alarm clock and really hard to wake up. That’s where SpinMe Alarm comes in, an alarm clock that is impossible to ignore and forces you awake. I highly recommend using these 2 alarms together. Best few dollars I’ve ever spent!
great app. very happy with the wake up time adjusts to your movements or can be fixed. The graphs are great at seeing my sleep habits. NOT HAPPY with the app shutting off my bluetooth when alarm is activated. I like to listen to book as I fall asleep and this app will only let me do that through the phone speaker.
When I have to get up for school in the morning its a disaster waiting to happen.. But with sleep cycle it works to wake me up when Im least tired. The only thing I dont like about this app is the snooze. When j flip over my phone to see the time I usually just say hey 5 minutes Wong hurt then I go to sleep thinking the snooze will wake me up again but it doesnt. It should go off until you end the sleep session.

Ive been using this app on and off for about two (2) years and I really like how many ways It offers a look back at how Im sleeping. Tracking my sleep patterns helps me justify how I feel in the mornings. I especially like the new fix that I dont have to lay my phone on my bed. I actually hang it on my headboard and it still tracks my every move. This is a terrific app.
I love this app! I have difficulty sleeping and rarely feel well-rested in the morning. Using this app has shown me just how often I wake up in the night, and what times seem to be common for me to come out of deep sleep. I can now use this data to help me determine my optimum bed-time. Also, the wake up feature that syncs with sleep cycles is amazing. I wake up in a much better mood than previously, and I dont sleep through the alarms. Prior to using this app, it took 12 alarms to wake me up, and even then I would oversleep! Now I am down to using just this app.
This alarm not only helps me keep track of when I fall asleep and when I wake up, but also enable me to figure out when my roommate wakes up. Now I can adjust when I go to bed so I wont be at the end of a sleeping cycle (light sleep period) and unintentionally wake up when she gets off bed and makes noise.
